Privacy Rights & Grievance
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance with Ratnagiri District Athletics Association.
Effective date: 9 September 2026

1. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask RDAA to: confirm what personal data of yours we hold and access a copy of it; correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data; delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for a legitimate purpose (such as event records already published); withdraw consent for future processing; or raise a grievance about how your data has been handled. Each of these is covered below.
2. How to submit a privacy request
The /apply form does not require an account or login — there is no self-service dashboard where you can sign in and manage your own data directly. Instead, requests are handled by RDAA staff directly, by email.
To help us find your record, include your application reference number (the code you received after registering, e.g. RDAA-2026-4F7K9) in your message if you have one, and the email/WhatsApp number you registered with.
3. What happens after you submit a request
Access / correction: we will confirm what data we hold about the application in question and correct any inaccuracy you identify.
Deletion: we will delete the application record and any associated payment-proof image where we are not required to keep it — for example, if the associated event has not yet taken place, or the data is not needed for a legitimate record-keeping purpose. Where an event has already taken place, we may need to retain the underlying record (for example, published results already include the participant’s name and placing, and cannot be selectively un-published without affecting the accuracy of RDAA’s own event history) — where full deletion isn’t possible for that reason, we will tell you what we can and can’t remove, and why.
Consent withdrawal: this stops any further use of your data beyond what was already necessary to complete a registration already submitted; it does not retroactively undo a completed, already-verified event registration or its results record.
We will acknowledge and look into every request. RDAA is a small organizing body without a large dedicated support team, so response times may vary, particularly around event dates — we will keep you updated on progress.
4. Verification of requests
Because there is no login system for public applicants, we may need to verify a request is genuinely coming from the applicant (or their parent/guardian, for a minor) before acting on it — for example, by confirming details only the applicant would know.
5. Grievance redressal
If you’re not satisfied with how a request above was handled, or have a complaint about this website or how your data has been handled generally, you can raise it formally:
Grievance Officer: Sandeep Tawade, Secretary
Email: registration@ratnagiriathletics.in
Address: 3467, Parvati Sadan, Miryabandar Road, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra 415612
File a grievance via our contact form
Please include in your complaint:
- Your name and how to contact you (email/WhatsApp)
- Your application reference number, if your complaint relates to an event registration
- A clear description of the issue and what you would like RDAA to do about it
- Any relevant screenshots or documents (for example, of a payment issue)
6. Contact and escalation
General privacy questions or requests: registration@ratnagiriathletics.in. If you believe a grievance has not been adequately resolved, you may escalate it to the relevant authority under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the Data Protection Board of India, once constituted and operational) or pursue any other remedy available to you under applicable law.
