Refund Policy
Registration fees are not refundable for a change of mind. RDAA still corrects its own errors — a cancelled event, a duplicate or failed payment.
Effective date: 9 September 2026

1. No refunds for a change of mind
Once a registration fee has been paid, RDAA does not offer a refund or cancellation simply because an applicant changes their mind, cannot attend, or withdraws voluntarily. This applies however far in advance of the event the request is made — RDAA does not operate a partial-refund or cancellation-window system.
2. How registration payment works here
RDAA does not use an online payment gateway. You pay your registration fee directly, by UPI, to the QR code shown on the payment step of the /apply flow — that payment happens in your own UPI/banking app, not through this website. An RDAA administrator then manually verifies your payment against your application.
3. Exceptions — where RDAA corrects its own error
The no-refund policy above covers a voluntary decision not to participate. It does not apply where the fault or the change is RDAA’s, or where a payment itself went wrong. In those cases:
- RDAA cancels an event outright: registration fees paid for that event are refunded in full.
- RDAA postpones or reschedules an event: your registration carries over to the new date by default; if you genuinely cannot attend the rescheduled date, contact us to discuss a refund.
- Duplicate payment: if you accidentally pay twice for the same registration, the duplicate amount is refunded.
- Failed or erroneous transaction: if your UPI app shows a payment as failed or debited without your application being confirmed, or you were charged the wrong amount, we will trace and correct it.
We don’t carve these out as a courtesy we might withdraw — a policy that refused to fix RDAA’s own mistakes or a cancelled event would not hold up as a fair term under Indian consumer-protection law, and we don’t intend to rely on one that wouldn’t.
4. Once an event has taken place
Once an event has taken place and an athlete has participated, the registration fee for that event is not refundable, except where required by law.
5. Requesting a correction under an exception above
Email registration@ratnagiriathletics.in (or use our contact form) with: your application reference number, the event name, the amount paid, and — for a duplicate/failed payment — a screenshot or transaction reference from your UPI app. Refunds, where they apply, are paid back to the same account/UPI ID the original payment was made from, once RDAA verifies the transaction.
6. Payment-app or bank issues
RDAA is not responsible for delays or failures caused by your UPI app, bank, or payment network — those should also be reported directly to your bank/UPI provider. We will still help trace a payment made to RDAA’s QR code on our end. See our Disclaimer.
